I enjoy working on end-to-end design process but I do love user research and user testing most. User research is the foundation of my projects. It uncovers what needs or problems that should be addressed. User testing tells me whether my work actually addresses or mitigates those problems.

I feel frustrated when I see poorly designed elements, such as shifting layout or unclear title hierarchy. Because of that, I'm committed to making things better little by little so that less people will be annoyed by bad design.

I spend my spare time on 2 things, hiking and building LEGO. I live in beautiful British Columbia. In spite that I have been hiking for years, there are still so many trails I haven't set foot on. In winters, I often build LEGO models for hours. When constructing a LEGO model, I think about the color, shape, and size of each piece, and how it contributes to the final look. In some degree, it's similar to that UX designers consider how each element of a design fits together and how the design will function as a whole.
